What You'll Do/Need

The Director of Financial Systems is responsible for developing and implementing a new finance target operating model designed to manage the transformational change impacting Quicken Loans and executing the Finance team’s strategic vision. The Director of Financial Systems focuses on managing change within Finance more effectively. The scope of this role includes owning and maintaining finance systems and continuous improvement and operating model for Finance, as well as talent management, financing the Project Management Office (PMO) and data governance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and continuous refinement for a target operating model for the Finance team
  • Develop a financial systems architecture vision and strategy in conjunction with IT
  • Develop Finance Transformation PMO and Organizational Change Management (OCM) to function with business advisory and administrative capabilities
  • Govern a finance systems unit resourced with the right capabilities, and will maintain, develop and execute all finance systems. 
  • Enhance structure to provide focus on key capabilities: IT analysts (IT problem solving skills for planning and design phases), data management, development and operations support
  • Design and manage the finance data model and governance processes within enterprise guidelines
  • Develop and maintain an integrated finance reporting architecture to support key users in FP&A, treasury, senior management and chief financial officers 
  • Maintain talent within finance functions to attract and retain key resources with the right skills and experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following disciplines – finance, accounting or information systems
  • Ten years of accounting, finance and systems experience
  • Experience developing and managing a finance change team, with focus on financial systems and governance
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting 
  • Experience with project management, strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to execute projects that are balanced with the creative and strategically designed finance vision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative
