Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, Business Stream - multiple positions open - for Detroit, MI to support full lifecycle of back-end development in data warehouse based on business needs; develop ETL processes; conduct dimensional design of table structure; develop cubes for performance; analyze business requirements & develop processes that provide visibility into data via the centralized data warehouse and reporting platform; ensure data brought in is clean, accurate, available & complete; ensure data warehouse processes are running optimally; develop reports to fulfill business needs; follow software development lifecycle processes; own & promote best standards and practices for data warehouse. Requires Master's degree in C.S., C.I.S., I.S. or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience working with SQL Server 2005 and above T-SQL coding. Will also accept Bachelor's degree in said fields & 5 yrs progressive, post-Bachelor's stated experience. Stated experience must also include 2 yrs experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2005 and above; designing, developing and deploying cubes with SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 and above; interfacing with business analysts & business users to gather and analyze user requirements and functional and system specifications; translating business, technical & user requirements into appropriate data solutions; designing relational & OLAP databases based on business requirements; defining data extraction, transformation & loading (ETL) requirements for source and target databases; identifying & implementing data warehousing principles; creating dimension & fact tables based on business requirements using star and snowflake schema modeling; conducting SQL query performance tuning; and troubleshooting & optimizing SQL performance and data integrity issues.
