What You'll Do/Need
The VP of Talent Acquisition will lead the development and execution of Quicken Loans and the Family of Company’s recruitment strategy. They will define, develop and implement a best-in-class approach to attracting, evaluating and hiring top talent. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strategic recruiting experience and proven ability to develop strong relationships across the entire organization. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will proactively evaluate business needs, and translate them into practical recruiting plans and processes, ensuring that the right people are being hired, at the right time, in the right positons.
What You’ll Do
Lead a team of over 100, providing strategic direction and staffing expertise to all of Talent Acquisition, with an ultimate goal of acquiring the best talent for Quicken Loans and the Family of Companies
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to Talent Acquisition team and hiring leaders on interviewing best practices, offer recommendations, negotiating/creating job offers, closing, and administrative functions involved in full cycle recruiting
Utilize knowledge of business needs and priorities to develop recruiting strategies and programs that ensure an ongoing pipeline of top talent to fill positions at all levels in the organization including strategic and executive positions
Partner with hiring leaders and senior leaders in a pro-active way that manages hiring expectations, and ensure high-quality candidates remain engaged throughout the entire selection process
Design, implement and maintain the appropriate processes, tools, systems and training necessary to scale and support the recruiting function
Provide expert guidance, facilitation and collaboration for all senior leaders and hiring leaders to recruit, identify, select, onboard, and retain highly skilled best in class candidates
Collaborate and execute on employer brand initiatives
Introduce innovative hiring methodologies through identifying unique and non-traditional sources for finding candidates
Drive execution of monthly and annual hiring goals in all areas of Talent Acquisition, including full-time hiring, intern hiring, college recruiting, internal transfers, veteran hiring, and sourcing
Drive the focus on candidate experience to ensure that candidates are treated with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
Provide expertise to human resources and senior leadership on headcount and succession planning strategies
Ensure reporting objectives are met and data is transformed into useful business intelligence
Analyze trends and metrics to understand business needs to align recruiting strategies
Manage team metrics and performance, ensuring each team member's personal growth and career development
Identify and negotiate contracts with external recruiting, technology and vendors that support the pre-employment process
What You’ll Need
Subject matter expertise in Talent Acquisition
5+ years’ experience building, growing and leading successful, high-volume recruiting or sales teams
The ability to balance the strategic with the practical, implementing and driving execution
Previous success with introducing, implementing, and sustaining key Talent Acquisition initiatives and showing direct, positive linkages to achievement of the business strategy
Strong metrics orientation with a track record of driving performance and evaluating the ROI of Talent Acquisition plans
Possess strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and success in influencing leaders across the company at all levels
Strategic thinker with hands-on style to deliver practical and effective solutions
Well-organized and comfortable with prioritizing and managing multiple priorities and tasks
Experience creating and implementing projects and processes from inception to completion
Possess sense of urgency, can do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
Familiarity with the cutting edge of current talent identification and recruiting strategies
High levels of resourcefulness, influence, organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation) and executive presence
A demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and success in influencing leaders across the company at all levels
Proven experience networking and building lasting relationships with individuals inside and outside of the organization
Experience strategically sourcing candidates from a variety of sources; managing/driving the full life cycle recruitment process, conducting compensation analysis at the onset of the recruitment process and managing negotiations and closing at the offer stage
