Who We Are

Quicken Loans has a fully integrated in-house Marketing team with a Creative team of 70+ members. The Creative team, located in downtown Detroit, focuses on all facets of content creation, including design, copywriting, copyediting, and content and creative strategy. Broadcast, video and recording creative is produced at our studio, stacked and stocked with the latest in digital audio and video equipment.

 

Recently, our Creative team was honored as a finalist for In-House Agency of the Year by In-House Agency Forum, which recognizes the unique contributions of internal agencies and creative services organizations. In 2016, we proudly received 13 Telly Awards for our independently produced work.

What You'll Do/Need

We’re building a world-class in-house agency to rival the very best agencies in the country. It means facing new challenges and often being asked to work outside your comfort zone. We take challenges head on and try to figure out a better way. This is the core of what we do. 

 

Candidates must submit a portfolio (website or PDF) to be considered for an interview.

 

 Responsibilities

  • Take initiative in creative problem-solving and seek a thorough understanding of deliverable objectives
  • Lead groups to concept and create campaigns that will communicate to a variety of audiences in multiple communication channels (print, digital, video and broadcast)
  • Work with our Creative team, freelance talent and/or agency partners to ensure high-quality creative executions
  • Clearly communicate at a high level across all levels of the organization, which also includes setting a creative vision and getting buy in from multiple stakeholders
  • Actively collaborate with leaders, Creative team members and business partners to bring creative campaigns and initiatives to life
  • Be a thought leader on the Creative team; mentor team members in order to raise the bar on overall creative thinking and execution
  • Share insights, knowledge and unique perspective of business challenges to become a trusted and highly sought creative solutions adviser
  • Confidently facilitate ideation sessions and clearly represent creative work in meetings and reviews
  • Demonstrate a professional approach to giving and receiving feedback
  • Champion big ideas and innovation
  • Contribute to brand strategy discussions to guide evolution
  • Develop expertise and knowledge in assigned business areas

 

 Requirements

  • A great eye for design, layout, look and feel with an understanding of the power of visual Communication
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work (in an organized fashion) to meet deadlines on multiple projects with varying timelines
  • A positive team player with an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude
  • Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Self-motivated; takes initiative and shows continuous growth and knowledge
  • Eight years of design experience in the industry or as an art director
  • Bachelor’s degree in fine or graphic arts
  • Intensely curious with the ability to question conventional wisdom
  • Experience working on a Mac platform in Adobe Creative Cloud
