What You'll Do/Need

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that the rent steps are accounted for and communicated to the tenants
  • Review lease files on a periodic basis for accuracy
  • Assist with any tenant/leasing projections for budget and forecast purposes
  • Perform account reconciliations and final accounting adjustments on terminated and/or vacated tenants
  • Respond to any tenant escalation audits
  • Record termination dates on Voyager and delete tenants from records when applicable
  • Review payment schedules and lease commencement letters for new tenants and renewals, etc..
  • Review, submit and generate recurring billings monthly
  • Maintain the filing of all tenant related information
  • Update the following upon lease commencement, change or deletion: new tenant/lease master setup, lease summary, recurring billing, tenant addresses and tenant renewal updates
  • Ensure the accuracy of all tenant master and lease abstract information
  • Perform proper editing of recurring billings and submit for processing
  • Run vacancy and lease expiration reports
  • Maintain all percent rent information and bill the tenants for present rent
  • Work with staff accountant as appropriate to set up new properties
  • Respond to any tenant questions regarding billing

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • A minimum of three to five years’ experience in lease administration on the landlord side of a real estate company with exposure to lease documents, escrow documents, or title documents.
  • An understanding of expense recovery methodology is a must;
  • Yardi knowledge is a plus;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly responsible with ability to meet deadlines with high sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
