At Sift we take a consumer approach to B2B software: emphasizing understanding of the user experience and building beautiful and easy to use software that delights our clients. We’re looking for a talented engineer with a passion and interest in distributed systems and data engineering to help advance our platform.

What You'll Do/Need

The Account Executive is responsible for selling Sift to businesses. This team member needs to have a proven track record of growing businesses at an early stage and have experience managing a pipeline, delivering results against quota and forging strong relationships with clients. As a founding member of the Sales team, this team member must be ready to build from the ground up.



  • Grow sales in the mid-market and enterprise verticals
  • Become an expert on Sift’s products and educate and sell new clients on our cloud-based software
  • Show and sell value to key stakeholders throughout your accounts
  • Build a plan to grow revenue and client satisfaction within your accounts
  • Identify and close quick, small wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles
  • Close large, complex deals involving multiple executive-level stakeholders in selected prospects
  • Use outbound and social techniques to prospect
  • Track all customer details, including use case, purchase time frames, next steps and forecasting
  • Develop and maintain a substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain an accurate forecast


  • Three years of experience selling software
  • Experience selling to and getting sponsorship from directors, VPs and C Suite-level executives, especially in Human Resources and Information Technology
  • Consistent track record of success with $1M+ quotas
  • Experience closing complex deals with solution selling techniques
  • Knowledge of proven sales methodologies
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, events and conferences as needed
  • Skills in developing and using presentations and online web demonstrations
  • Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to do whatever it takes to get things done
