    What You'll Do/Need

    The Business Operations Director for Automotive leads the campaign and business strategy, budgeting and execution for our automotive business unit. This team member leverages operations, critical thinking, business acumen and contact center experience to lead all aspects of an automotive sales contact center business unit. In addition to working cross-functionally, this team member builds and leads a team that follows and embraces the Rock Connections culture while ensuring the strategic and financial goals are achieved.

     

    Responsibilities

    Strategy and Business Leadership

    • Develop and manage the annual business strategy and financials for the business unit, including profit-and-loss budgeting/forecasting by campaign monthly, quarterly and annually
    • Translate strategy into clearly defined goals, objectives and tactics to drive sales and profitability for the business while being responsible for gaining and driving cross-functional support from all stakeholders
    • Develop positive relationships with client partners and manage relationships to deliver on business goals and objectives, driving growth and efficiencies
    • Collaborate in the negotiation, drafting and execution of statements of work and other contractual agreements with clients

     

    People Leadership

    • Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork and achievement of common goals
    • Lead, motivate and inspire team members and support functions such as finance, technology, data services, production, legal/compliance and training
    • Mentor, train and coach two to four direct team members to maximize performance and remove roadblocks as well as develop talent
    • Build and cultivate relationships with cross-functional teams and senior leaders within the organization as well as prospective clients, business partners and vendors

    Operations Execution

    • Manage communication and execution of priorities across operations, including production, legal, people, training, technology and finance, ensuring that priorities are aligned with leaders/groups
    • Drive resolutions to day-to-day operations issues and needs, providing real-time guidance, problem-solving, critical thinking and business trade-off evaluation
    • Implement process and business improvements that grow the top and bottom line
    • Effectively communicate analyses and strategic recommendations to leadership, key stakeholders and client partners
    • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide leadership escalation, prioritize and execute projects, balance business needs vs. technical constraints, ensure quality and drive bottom line results

     

     

    Requirements

    Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in business, marketing or operations with a background in and knowledge of e-commerce and/or contact center space
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, economics, science or a related field
    • Experience managing outside vendors, agencies and partners or directly managing client accounts

    • Ability to manage organizational change and ambiguity, resulting in effective and timely decisions that will often have a big impact throughout the company

    Project Management

    • Ability to run meetings, manage timelines and milestones, jump in to do work throughout a project, and influence/manage teams and team members toward progress
    • Unfaltering attention to detail with the same exceptionally high standards for all team members and support functions
