    What You'll Do/Need

    The User Experience (UX) Research Specialist works closely with team members across the Quicken Loans Family of Companies to provide consumer insights from the enterprise level to the product level. This position requires a broad range of primary and secondary research methods to better understand our users and provide impactful and timely insights to advise business and product decision-making. We’re looking for a person who is curious, values opportunities to continue learning, and doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.

     

    What You’ll Do

    • Work closely with the business leads, internal teams and research team members to identify research needs and help clarify project objectives
    • Design and conduct hypothesis-driven studies that explore the behaviors, motivations and needs of our users
    • As a subject-matter expert, provide recommendations to business stakeholders through strategic analysis of data
    • Collaborate with company leadership and marketing and product strategy to set appropriate goals and results measurements for key company initiatives
    • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of business success drivers, industry and regulatory trends, and the competitive marketplace intelligence
    • Use research data to guide the development of strategy for product development, marketing and client engagement

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human-computer interaction (HCI), cognitive science or related field that delves into human behavior, decision-making and information-processing
    • 5 years of experience in research-focused roles: marketing, academic and/or UX research
    • Coursework or experience in research methods and experimental design
    • Significant experience using research data as key source of strategy development
    • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and effectively deliver detailed and complicated information using appropriate method
    • Proven ability to lead teams toward a goal by setting direction and vision
    • Proven ability to think creatively and analytically
    • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities

    What’ll Make You Special

    • Master’s degree requiring original thesis work
    • Proficiency with research tools such as syndicated research platforms (Mintel, Forrester), survey writing platforms (Qualtrics, Mopinion), user testing platforms (UserZoom, UserTesting.com) and statistical analysis packages (SPSS, R)
